Job Overview

As a Video Producer, you will be in a very flexible and challenging role responsible for creating high‐quality photo and video content from concept to final delivery.

This is a hands‐on role, working from our Brisbane‐based location, that will also require the flexibility to travel extensively both nationally and internationally. Our general duties will encompass the entire production lifecycle, including creative development, storyboarding, hands‐on shooting (both photo and video), and post‐production editing.

We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service across all facets of our production. Additionally, you will be required to cultivate relationships with stakeholders and clients while leading the creation and editing of visual content to meet client‐specific needs.

Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Production
* Actively shoot and produce high‐quality videos and photos highlighting the unique aspects of various destinations and clients within the tourism and other industries.
* Manage and execute all stages of production, from pre‐production (ideation, scripting) through to hands‐on shooting, and post‐production editing and delivery.
Storyboarding and Planning
* Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and scripts for video content to effectively communicate the desired narrative and messaging.
Equipment Management
* Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio equipment necessary for video shoots. Manage the equipment to ensure all team members are always familiar with who has the equipment and where it is located.
On‐Site Coordination
* Plan out what equipment is required and coordinate with our client's tourism agencies, local guides, and/or any relevant stakeholders to plan and execute video shoots at various locations.
* Edit raw footage into compelling video content, incorporating music, sound, and visual effects to create engaging and immersive promotional materials that meet our customers' themes and style.
* Handle all aspects of post‐production, from the initial edit through to color grading, sound mixing, and final delivery.
Creative Direction
* Provide creative input and direction for video shoots and edits to ensure that the final output aligns with the brand's vision and marketing objectives.
Digital Asset Management
* Organize and maintain a comprehensive library of video assets, including raw footage and final cuts, ensuring easy access and retrieval for future projects and marketing campaigns.
Collaboration with Internal Teams
* Work closely with internal teams to understand and plan campaign objectives and contribute creative ideas for video content that align with the brand's messaging.
Stay Updated with Industry Trends
* Continuously research and stay updated with the latest videography trends, techniques, and technologies, implementing innovative approaches to enhance content quality.
Compliance with Brand Guidelines
* Ensure that all video content produced complies with our client's brand guidelines and reflects the desired brand image and values of Tourism Media.
Time Management and Deadlines
* Manage project timelines effectively to meet deadlines and deliver video content as specified, ensuring efficiency and productivity in all aspects of production.
Quality Assurance
* Maintain high standards of visual content quality, ensuring that all deliverables meet or exceed the company's and clients' expectations.
Client Coordination and Feedback Incorporation
* Communicate and collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements, incorporate feedback, and ensure that their vision is accurately portrayed in the final deliverables.
Adaptability and Problem‐solving
* Demonstrate agility and flexibility in responding to changing project requirements, and software & hardware issues.
* Complete any other duties as directed from time to time by management.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in professional videography and video production.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using professional video cameras, lighting equipment, and video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools).
* Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of high‐quality video projects, demonstrating a keen eye for storytelling and cinematic composition.
* Understanding of Branding: Knowledge of how to visually convey and strengthen a brand's message and image through video.
* Adaptability: Ability to adapt to different shooting environments and adjust techniques accordingly, including outdoor, indoor, and various lighting conditions.
* Creative Vision: Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and execute creative and innovative video concepts for marketing and promotional campaigns.
* Time Management Skills: Effective time management skills to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising on the quality of work.
* Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members during the creative process.
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest standard of visual quality and consistency in all deliverables.
* Familiarity with the latest trends in AI‐assisted editing and video creation tools.
* Awareness of new and current trends in the video production industry.
Desirable Qualifications
* Bachelor of Arts - Video and Film or a similar qualification.
* Aerial (Drone) Videography Skills: Experience or certification in drone operation for aerial videography.
* Motion Graphics and Animation Skills: Proficiency in Motion Graphics and animation software (like Adobe After Effects) for creating immersive and engaging visual content.
* Social Media Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with how to create video content for social media marketing. Awareness of trends and strategies to optimize video for various social media platforms.
* Multilingual Abilities: Proficiency in one or more additional languages to cater to the diverse international audience within the tourism sector.
* Experience in Virtual Reality (VR) Content Creation: Familiarity with creating immersive virtual reality content to provide unique and interactive experiences for tourism marketing campaigns.
