Sterilising Department Technicians play a vital role by cleaning, processing, and sterilising surgical instrumentation in line with AS/NZ5369:2023.
The Role
Precise and consistent work is required, with strict adherence to infection control protocols and compliance. Responsibilities include identifying instruments, applying correct cleaning and processing methods, and ensuring each item meets Australian Standards before returning to the Operating Room Suite or external customer.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Certificate III in Sterilising or willingness to work toward obtaining it.
* Capacity for manual handling, repetitive lifting, and standing duties.
* Ability to work in a small, tight‐knit environment and follow direction from senior staff.
* Knowledge of infection control and sterilisation standards (AS/NZ5369:2023).
Employment Details
Permanent, full time, day‐worker position. Working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Salary: $67,193 – $72,126 per annum, plus 12% superannuation contribution.
