The Opportunity
We are currently partnering with several leading national and international law firms seeking talented Construction & Infrastructure lawyers to join their growing Sydney teams.
Opportunities are available for both:
Front-End Construction & Projects
Work alongside market‐leading Partners advising on major infrastructure, development and procurement projects across Australia.
You will advise government agencies, developers, contractors, infrastructure owners, financial institutions and major corporate clients on:
* Construction and infrastructure contracts
* Procurement strategies
* PPP and major project delivery models
* D&C, ECI and Managing Contractor contracts
* Services and consultancy agreements
* Joint ventures and project structuring
* Risk allocation and project advisory matters
This role offers exposure to some of Australia's most complex and high‐profile projects across transport, renewable energy, social infrastructure, commercial developments and industrial projects.
Back-End Construction & Infrastructure Disputes
Join highly respected disputes teams acting on significant construction and engineering disputes across Australia.
You will work on matters involving:
* Security of Payment disputes
* Delay and disruption claims
* Defects and negligence claims
* Infrastructure and engineering disputes
* Professional indemnity matters arising from construction projects
* Adjudications, mediations, arbitrations and court proceedings
You will act for developers, principals, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, insurers and major project stakeholders on some of the most complex disputes in the market.
About You
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have:
* 4+ years' post‐admission experience
* Experience in front‐end construction, projects, procurement or construction disputes
* Strong drafting and technical legal skills
* Excellent commercial awareness and problem‐solving ability
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* Strong stakeholder and client relationship management abilities
* A genuine interest in construction, infrastructure and major projects
For Senior Associate opportunities, prior experience mentoring junior lawyers and managing client relationships will be highly regarded.
