At CSO Group, we believe the future of cybersecurity is about more than just tools and technology – it’s about deep partnerships, real-world insight, and trusted advisors who solve complex problems with clarity and precision.
Established in Perth in 2017, CSO Group was launched with the vision of providing ICT security services and solutions to protect Australian businesses from advanced cyber threats.
Today, we support some of Australia’s largest Enterprise and Government organisations, through our mission to demystify cybersecurity and simplify the end-to-end thinking, process, and management of security capabilities to mitigate business risks and threats.
With operations across Perth, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne, we work strategically with our customers to deliver pragmatic cybersecurity solutions that are sustainable, fit-for-purpose, and aligned with risk appetite and maturity.
A CRN Fast 50 Finalist in 2019 (4th) and 2022 (9th), we’re now entering a new phase of accelerated growth, and we’re actively expanding our offerings – including building dedicated capabilities on the ServiceNow platform – to enable smarter, more integrated cyber decision-making and the establishment and growth of a Consulting & Advisory function.
Now, we’ve created a newly established senior leadership role, General Manager - Advisory to drive and grow our Advisory & Consulting function and we’re looking for a proven leader who can take the reins. Reporting to the CTO, this pivotal role is accountable for building, growing, and ensuring the commercial success of CSO Group’s Advisory business.

* Partner with Sales to identify, shape, and win new opportunities. Generate business through your network and market reputation.
* Contribute to the creation of CSO’s strategic advisory intellectual property, methodologies, and delivery frameworks.
* Design, refine, and deliver scalable, repeatable consulting offerings across cyber strategy, GRC, architecture, and emerging areas such as AI.
* Oversee engagement resourcing, scoping, and delivery.
* Engage closely with other CSO delivery teams, leveraging broader capabilities to deliver holistic solutions for customers
* Implement quality assurance processes, gather customer feedback, and drive continual improvement.
* Act as a trusted advisor and executive sponsor bringing thought leadership, pragmatism, and value articulation to customer engagements, ensuring exceptional outcomes and building lasting relationships with executive stakeholders.
* Proactively manage consultant utilisation, resourcing, and pipeline forecasting to ensure commercial success and efficiency.
What You Bring

* Established network of enterprise and/or government relationships within Australia.
* Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing consulting teams and coach others to success.
* Collaborative, adaptive mindset with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications and Clearances
* Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Cybersecurity, or related field.
* Preferred: MBA or postgraduate qualification in business/leadership/strategy.
* Certifications such as CISM, CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, ISO 27001 highly regarded.

* Ability to obtain Australian Government Security clearances is highly valuable.
CSO Group is an award-winning cybersecurity firm with a clear vision: to simplify and secure the future of Australian business. We’re on a growth journey and are investing in the right people to shape what’s next.
