Our client, a locally and family-owned business, is on the hunt for an experienced Fitter/Mechanic, to join their team of long-serving employees. * Initial (up‐to) 6‐month casual contract through Complete Staff Solutions, with a potential for ongoing and permanent work for the right candidate (and dependent on performance/suitability)
* Ability to negotiate a suited and fair salary, on interview
Main Duties:
* Assembling and maintaining machinery, for both fixed and non‐fixed plant
* Inspecting machinery and equipment, including large and small mechanical items
* Performing routine maintenance, tests and checks to ensure the safe operations of all internal equipment and machinery
* Troubleshooting breakdowns and mechanical faults
* Ordering stock and maintaining stock levels to ensure a smooth running of the mill and factory
* Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace, to ensure safety and compliance
Mandatory Requirements:
* Certificate III Fitter, Mechanical Trade or similar
* Drivers Licence
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment physical assessment
Why The Clarence Valley?
The valley's main town, historic Grafton (founded 1851) sits on the banks of the Clarence River, Australia's largest east‐coast river system.
