Our Goldfields Operations are going through an exciting transition beginning mining operations on our cornerstone deposit Iguana. Our tenure covers an extensive footprint across the Ida Region and also includes the Geko Project 30km Northwest of Coolgardie and the Jaurdi project containing our 850,000tpa gold processing plant. With a multitude of deposit types, an extensive resource development plan this is a truly diverse role which offers a unique opportunity to grow with the company.
The role:
The role will suit someone who wants to build a solid mining career foundation across all geological facets including production while making a tangible difference to the high preforming geology team. The role will be full-time on an 8:6 roster with competitive remuneration. There is flexibility for the role to be offered on FIFO or DIDO basis.
Key responsibilities:
Assist geologists with mark ups, ore identification, ore spotting and mapping.
Assist with grade control logging, sampling and associated activities.
Assist with exploration drilling programs and associated activities.
Prepare, collect and submit field and production data.
Use of GPS Survey equipment as required (training provided).
To be successful in this role you will need:
Bachelor of Science (Geology) or equivalent.
Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy in data collection.
A high level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
Previous experience in a mining environment (ideal but not essential).
Experience with GPS or survey equipment (ideal but not essential).
Good written and verbal communication skills.
A commitment to safety and a continuous improvement of workplace culture.
Physical fitness and be a reliable self-starter able to work independently and as part of a team.
A current manual WA Drivers Licence.
Working rights in Australia (Mandatory).
A National Police Clearance.
