About the school

Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne. The school has an open enrolment policy and educates children from many faiths and backgrounds and abilities. The school aspires to develop young people who are kind, creative, inquiring, socially and emotionally at ease, and who strive to achieve their personal best in all their endeavours. With campuses in Mickleham, Donnybrook and Kalkallo, the school has announced its acquisition of a 10-hectare parcel of land in Wollert for a fourth campus planned to open in 2033. This campus will comprise two Primary schools and a Secondary school and will, when at capacity, enrol over 2,500 students. As one of Victoria's fastest growing schools, it is expected to be one of the largest non-government schools in the state, with plans for further expansion. Hume provides its students with an education that prepares them for the challenges of life, equips them to contribute to the community in an environment based on Christian values and at a cost affordable to as many families as possible. By establishing high standards in all that we do, every student is encouraged and supported to discover and fulfil their unique potential.

About the role

Hume now invites applications for the position of School Psychologist. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE), ongoing role working across our campuses, with 3 days at our Kalkallo Campus and 1 day at our Donnybrook Campus. They will liaise closely with key leaders of the school, especially those entrusted with student wellbeing responsibilities, so that together they can provide timely and proactive support for our students. They will have demonstrated a clear understanding of processes and procedures associated with handling case-sensitive situations and of the importance of maintaining strict confidentiality, where appropriate.

This position is suitable for an AHPRA registered psychologist with tertiary and/or post-graduate qualifications and extensive child counselling experience. This position affords the successful candidate with the opportunity to help shape and develop existing practices and make recommendations about future expansion in this important area.
