- Competitive remuneration ranging from $99,938 to $110,271 plus super & annual leave loading.

Are you ready to help shape reliable IT services for users and customers? We’re seeking a proactive Assistant Application Analyst to maintain and optimise our ISTM Platform, drive quality, and enable seamless ITSM delivery.

What you’ll do:

- Maintain and enhance the ISTM Platform to deliver top-tier IT services; lead testing, design walkthroughs, and control systems testing to reduce risk and boost output quality.
- Collaborate with the team to translate user enhancement requests into clear design specifications and support ITSM delivery.
- Assist with programming task scheduling, progress reporting, and risk identification to safeguard project outcomes.
- Provide first-level technical support to minimize outages by monitoring recurring issues and resolving performance problems.
- Participate in post-release activities to build knowledge for future releases and prepare comprehensive system documentation.
- Deliver timely management and user support, contribute to operational and progress reporting, and maintain records to meet regulatory requirements.
- Balance urgent and routine tasks for multiple stakeholders, escalate risks promptly, and stay current with technologies and trends to ensure cost-effective, timely solutions.
- Support the following ServiceNow Modules – ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, SPM, HR & Finance.

About you

- Demonstrated experience providing application or technical support in an enterprise IT environment.
- Working knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) principles and familiarity with ServiceNow or similar enterprise service platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of ITIL practices or a relevant ITIL certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Admin Certified ServiceNow user.
- Understanding and knowledge of the platform's features and functions, along with skills in ITSM, development, and administration.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non–child-related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
