ETS is currently seeking Digital Metering Technicians to support our Unitywater contract in Southeast Queensland. While experience in a similar role or within the water infrastructure sector is desirable, it is not essential. Applicants with backgrounds as Plumbing Trade Assistants or Cable Technicians will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
* Install, commission and configure digital water meters and data loggers for residential, commercial and industrial properties (AMI/AMR/IoT)
* Investigate and troubleshoot device issues, liaising with remote vendors as needed
* Ensure all work complies with ETS HSEQ policies and relevant legislation
* Deliver high quality customer service to clients and customers
* Collaborate with team members to share technical/safety information and support continuous improvement
* Assist with meter reading and water meter replacements alongside plumbers as required
Qualifications
* Positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong willingness to learn
* Experience in water/wastewater networks (desirable)
* Computer literate, including device configuration and Microsoft Excel
* Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously
Desired skills
* Knowledge of, or experience with, water meters and/or data loggers
* Familiarity with AMR / AMI / IoT networks and technologies (e.g. NB-IoT, WIZE)
* Experience with meter field collection or data management software
* Experience using Temetra (advantageous but not required)
