Financial Crime Investigator

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Crime Investigator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play an integral part in the prevention, detection, and investigation of fraud and scams impacting our customers.

As a Financial Crime Investigator, you will work closely with customers who have been impacted by fraud or scam, discussing the details of the event while using various investigation techniques to gather information in an efficient and effective manner. This is an exciting and varied role working in a constantly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise directly with customers who have been impacted by fraud or scams, providing exceptional service while gathering accurate information.
* Complete comprehensive and detailed investigations, which may include reporting fraudulent activity to external organizations.
* Manage fraud alerts to identify fraud and scam activity.
* Contribute to process improvements to identify better ways of working.
* Enhance transaction monitoring alerts.
* Actively manage various workloads with differing SLA requirements.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess industry-related study, qualifications, and/or experience. Customer service experience is also essential, as well as experience within the Financial Services or related industry. Ideally, you will have at least 2 years' experience in the financial services industry or a similar role. Demonstrable experience and/or exposure to criminal investigation techniques, including evidence management and presentation, is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, as well as excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong negotiation, planning, and organizational skills are also essential. Additionally, you must be able to work in a fast-moving, agile environment, including autonomously with minimal supervision, and have advanced computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite.
