Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive HSE Advisor to champion Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance across our construction projects and operational sites at the Mulwala site on Pangerang and Yorta Yorta Land.
Responsibilities
On day one in this role, you'll:
* Ensure compliance with Thales HSE systems, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
* Inspect, audit, and monitor construction sites to mitigate risks and uphold safety protocols.
* Coach leaders and teams to foster a risk-focused HSE culture—from management to operational levels.
* Lead incident investigations, hazard reporting, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Support environmental sustainability through waste management, chemical handling, and EMS compliance.
* Collaborate with regulatory agencies and maintain meticulous records for audits and permits.
Qualifications & Skills
* First experience in HSE advisory roles, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or high-risk industries.
* A good understanding of State/Federal WHS legislation, Safety Management Systems, and injury/incident management.
* Certificate IV/Diploma in Work Health & Safety (highly desirable).
* Strong coaching, auditing, and stakeholder engagement abilities with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
* Ability to work site based.

Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance. The U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR) may be applicable, and your nationality may impact suitability.
