About the Team

Operational Policy and Knowledge Management develops and provides advice on policy, guidance and tools that drives how we work, and explains how to apply broad policy within all operational environments. The RSP Group also contributes to the development and implementation of regulatory and aged care program reform.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead a small team working with internal and external stakeholders to design, refine and implement high-quality internal policy, knowledge resources and procedures that support best-practice regulation.

The key duties of the position include:

* Provide clear and supportive team and peer leadership and direction on a program of related activities.
* Lead and / or provide advice on the development, implementation and evaluation of related operational priorities, resources and policies, including supporting the development and delivery of related training and communications.
* Develop and manage key strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders promoting the Commission’s business objectives.
* Identify, escalate and manage risks associated with new or revised policy and / or knowledge resources, including capacity and capability gaps.

Eligibility

Demonstrated ability to:

* Plan and lead individual and team priorities, manage deadlines, continuously improve processes, and work effectively under pressure
* manage team resourcing, build team member capability, and work effectively in a dynamic leadership peer group.
* effectively manage interpersonal relationships and communicate with influence with internal and external stakeholders from a range of backgrounds and cultures.
* research, interpret, analyse and apply legislation, policy, business requirements and guidance materials, preferably in a social policy or regulatory context.
* develop, monitor, evaluate and improve operational policy and knowledge resources including the application of plain language.

Demonstrated experience leading or being a key participant in a large and/or complex organisational change.

Notes

* Salary offered will be between $141,487- $167,513 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

* Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term. Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
* Merit Pool established through this selection process may be used to fill this or future ongoing or non-ongoing vacancies.
