Overview
Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join the Water Network team in Emerald, who is passionate about serving the local community. The Water Network Crew will undertake planned or responsive activities, repairs to the water, wastewater and recycled water networks and within the treatment plants as required. In this unique role you will have the opportunity to gain skills and grow within the industry with the completion of Certificate III in Water Industry Operations which is fully funded by Council.
Responsibilities
* Undertake planned maintenance activities as directed on water, sewer and recycled water networks. Carry out manual and general labouring duties as required.
* Undertake responsive maintenance activities as directed on water, sewer and recycled water networks and within the treatment plants if required. Carry out manual and general labouring duties as required.
* Participate in an on‐call roster system as a crew member to undertake after‐hours responsive or planned maintenance activities.
Qualifications
* Current Queensland C Class Drivers Licence.
* General Construction Industry Card.
* Certificate III in Water Industry Operations or willingness to obtain during employment.
* Willingness and ability to undertake working at heights, breathing apparatus and confined spaces training.
