About the Role
Seeking a technically minded Internal Sales Engineer to join the national team in their South Brisbane office. In this role, you will be the technical “go-to” within the business, combining hands-on mechanical knowledge with customer service and commercial support. You’ll be providing technical sales expertise, assisting with valve/actuation builds, and supporting projects from quoting through to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to customers and the sales team, including product sizing, specifications, and quoting.
- Act as the product specialist for valves and actuation equipment.
- Assist with tenders, customer meetings, and troubleshooting enquiries.
- Assemble or oversee the build of valves and actuators, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Support commissioning and training for customers when required (occasional interstate travel).
- Work with suppliers for pricing, delivery, and technical information.
- Coordinate order fulfilment with procurement, logistics, and warehousing teams.
- Maintain excellent customer service and build strong long-term relationships.
About You
- Mechanical or technically minded, ideally with experience in valves, actuation, or related industrial products.
- Previous experience in technical/internal sales, hands on tools experience, applications engineering, or product support.
- Strong communicator with the ability to support both customers and sales teams.
- Commercially aware, accurate with detail, and organised under pressure.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to assemble or oversee technical builds.
