Senior Solution & Domain Architect
Location: Canberra ACT (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days WFH)

Hatchit Studios is seeking Senior Solution & Domain Architects to support a major federal government program. These roles sit within a high‑performing Architecture and Design practice and will shape enterprise‑wide ICT direction across networks, cloud, infrastructure, applications, and data.
We are seeking domain specialists with strong architecture governance experience and the ability to design and guide complex ICT solutions end‑to‑end.
You will contribute to the design, coordination, and implementation of enterprise technology solutions within a large and secure government ICT environment. This includes producing architectural documentation, reference materials, design artefacts, and engaging in structured architecture governance forums.

Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, and cost‑effective technical solutions
- Produce High‑Level Designs, Detailed Designs, Reference Architectures, Roadmaps, and technical guidance
- Define integration points, data flows, and system interactions
- Conduct technology evaluations, product comparisons, and procurement assessments
- Develop and refine design standards, templates, patterns, and principles
- Engage in structured design assurance and architecture review processes
- Lead consultations with stakeholders to validate solution approaches
- Support implementation teams to ensure alignment with approved designs
- Provide expert architectural advice across network, cloud, infrastructure, application, and data domains
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years ICT industry experience
- Minimum 2 years producing solution architecture or systems design documentation
- Experience working on secure government systems
- Robust background in complex ICT environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Active NV1 security clearance
- Information Security (SCTY) – Level 4+
- Network, Hardware, Integration & Technology Design (Levels 4‑6)
- Experience in global or distributed ICT environments
- Applying ISM and Essential Eight through pragmatic design
- Strong cloud architecture and integration pattern experience
- Exposure to hybrid environments (on‑prem, private cloud, SaaS)
