Join Our Team as an Irrigation Technician. Looking for a role where your skills make a visible impact every day? The City of Wanneroo is on the lookout for a motivated and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our Parks Technical Irrigation team.
This is a permanent full‐time opportunity with early starts and a 9‐day fortnight, giving you more time to enjoy life outside of work.
About the Role
This is a hands‐on position where you'll play a key role in keeping our parks and public spaces thriving. You'll be responsible for maintaining and optimising irrigation systems to ensure they operate efficiently and sustainably.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs
* Inspecting and testing commercial irrigation systems
* Programming and adjusting irrigation controllers
* Watering turf products after application
* Supporting water‐wise practices across the City's public spaces
About You
You're someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys problem‐solving, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
* Solid experience in irrigation maintenance and operations
* The physical capability to perform manual work
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Experience in local government is a bonus, but not essential.
