About the Role
As a Sales and Customer Service Support team member, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting customer enquiries, sales activity, and internal coordination across Followmont Transport.
Working closely with the wider sales team, you'll be a key point of contact for customers while supporting the end-to-end sales process.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Preparing and converting quotes
* Identifying sales opportunities
* Coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
You'll gain exposure to both the commercial and operational sides of the business, building a strong foundation in sales, customer service, and transport logistics.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, responsive, and genuinely customer‐focused, with a desire to develop their commercial and technical skills. You'll be supported by an experienced team and offered clear pathways to progress into senior sales roles or other areas of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the wider sales team, you'll be actively involved in supporting customer enquiries, sales activity, and internal coordination to deliver great outcomes for customers and the business.
* Respond to incoming sales enquiries via phone and email, providing timely and professional support.
* Prepare, manage, and convert quotes and estimates, including promotional and interstate or remote pricing.
* Provide accurate ETAs and proactively adjust pricing where appropriate to help secure business.
* Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure seamless communication and a consistent customer experience.
Lead Identification
* Identify potential sales opportunities through inbound enquiries, quote requests, and customer interactions.
* Capture key information and pass qualified leads to the Sales team for follow-up and conversion.
Operational & Internal Coordination
* Liaise with Operations and depot teams to arrange pickups, elevate collection requests, and confirm service feasibility.
* Coordinate with the Sales team on customer requirements, lead follow-ups, and account handovers.
* Communicate with Accounts regarding remittances, credit status, and payment confirmations.
Reporting & Accuracy
* Maintain accurate records of quotes, estimates, and conversions.
* Monitor and review Power BI data to support data accuracy and analysis of pricing trends.
