The successful candidate will have the opportunity to prove themselves and put in a case to progress their career in residential estimating, rather than just taking on a job. They will be responsible for producing sales estimates to reflect the customer's requirements, incorporating standard options, non-standard variations, foundation and footing requirements, inclusions to achieve required siting and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities will include ensuring that all requirements described in the engineer's report are incorporated into the preliminary contract and contract documents. The candidate will also need to follow company checklists to capture and process all information required to determine fixed site costs, as well as modify sales estimates accurately to suit the requirements of engineers, surveyors and building surveyors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and documenting specific estimates in accordance with Metricon design and construction details, calculating quantities and maintaining inventories for standard options to complement our product range, using Metricon's estimating systems software. They will also be responsible for setting prices based on supplier rates and margin schedules, and liaising with internal stakeholders including sales, designers and purchasing teams.

Requirements:
Experience working with an Australian residential builder as either a sales or production estimator
Working knowledge of the building and construction industry
An associate diploma in building construction or equivalent construction knowledge (preferred)
Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and proven experience in estimating or quoting
Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail
A willingness to provide feedback to management and thrive in a goal-driven, dedicated team environment
