A well-established local building and renovation company is seeking a reliable and hardworking Trades Assistant to join our growing team.
This varied role combines onsite work and workshop-based duties, making it ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and being part of a supportive team environment. Possibility of an industry apprenticeship for suitable candidate.
About the Role
Working alongside experienced builders and tradespeople, you will assist with residential building, renovation, and maintenance projects throughout the Peel region while also supporting workshop operations, material preparation, and fabrication tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Onsite Duties
* Assisting builders and tradespeople on residential construction and renovation projects
* Site preparation and clean-up
* Loading and unloading materials and equipment
* General labouring and trade support
* Maintaining safe and organised work areas
Workshop Duties
* Preparing materials for upcoming projects
* Assisting with assembly and fabrication tasks
* Organising tools, equipment, and stock
* Receiving and checking deliveriesMaintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workshop
* Supporting the team with general workshop operations
About You
* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
* Physically fit and capable of manual work
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skillsWhite Card required (or willing to obtain)
* Current driver's licence
* Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or a workshop environment is advantageous but not essential
