About the Role
As an Analyst in Regulatory Affairs, you will support the Regulatory Change & Advocacy team with regulatory research, analysis, internal stakeholder engagement, and external advocacy on financial services policy and regulation. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will help provide regulatory insights, support legal and compliance activities, and build skills in regulatory interpretation, professional judgment, and stakeholder management across the business.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and summarise regulatory developments from ASIC, APRA, Treasury, and industry bodies, maintaining related registers and tracking tools.
* Conduct regulatory research, gap analyses, and impact assessments for new laws and reforms.
* Support external advocacy activities by preparing correspondence, consultation responses, briefings, and submissions.
* Assist with internal reporting, stakeholder communications, training materials, and meeting coordination.
* Contribute to improving Regulatory Affairs processes, frameworks, reporting, and documentation practices.
Qualifications
* Recent graduate or early‐career professional in law, public policy, political science, economics, or a related field.
* Understanding of the Australian financial services regulatory environment and general insurance sector is desirable.
* Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Proactive, reliable, eager to learn, and able to build strong stakeholder relationships.
