About the role
You’ll not only manage the upkeep of beautiful gardens, ground and facilities, you will also build genuine connections with homeowners and contribute to a positive, welcoming atmosphere. You’ll be part of a wider network of caretakers across our Stockland Halcyon communities, sharing knowledge and support.
- Permanent full time, Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm
- Maintain and enhance gardens, ground and recreational facilities, ensuring they are looking their best
- Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance
- Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with safety
- Building relationships with homeowners and other staff members
- Actively participate in caretaker meetings and complete relevant reporting
- Manage community security and operational budgets
About you
Proactive and personable, you take pride in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment and you’ll bring :
- Proven experience in managing large, scaled gardens and grounds as well as experience in general maintenance and amenity cleaning
- Background in caretaking or maintenance within lifestyle communities, retirement living, schools, or hotels / resorts
- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in engaging with people
- Experience in team supervision and contractor coordination
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- ACDC licence for weed spraying (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic computer proficiency and current First Aid certificate (refresher available)
- Full driver’s licence and own transport to / from work (work ute provided during work hours)
