National Transport Company requires an experienced Workshop Manager for our Quoiba workshop.
Reporting to the Regional Maintenance Manager, the applicant will be responsible for managing all workshop activities for Tasmanian operations.
Salary + Company dual cab ute supplied.
Key Criteria
* Provide effective supervision of all maintenance and repair activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the fleet.
* Be first point of contact for plant and equipment breakdowns and coordinate planning in conjunction with operations personnel.
* Manage servicing of vehicles in line with company servicing schedule.
* Ensure availability of parts, material and labour.
* Coordinate heavy vehicle inspections for registration of heavy plant and equipment.
* Accurate completion of all paperwork associated with fleet maintenance and repair.
* Liaise between management, supervisors and drivers.
* Effectively manage all workshop staff.
* Ensure all work in the workshop is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
Skills and Experience
* Proven competence and experience as a Workshop Manager.
* Heavy vehicle mechanic trade qualification.
* Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and motivate the team to achieve results.
* The ability to plan and implement solutions decisively.
* Strong interpersonal skills including consultation and negotiation skills.
* High level of oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task.
* Commitment to ensuring a safe working environment.
* Heavy vehicle licence advantageous.
