Prior experience in dealing with vulnerable populations and children with behavioural difficulties is also preferred.

WSLHD Integrated and Community Health (ICH) is home to seven Community Health Centres, providing care to families across 120 suburbs. WSLHD serves a diverse and growing population, with some areas housing families at a greater socio-economic disadvantage than others. Child and Family Health delivers family centred care, including but not limited to paediatric allied health, nursing and audiology. Care is also provided to vulnerable families, and robust ties are therefore maintained with Out of Home Care, Department of Communities and Justice, and other non-governmental organisations assisting in the care of these families. The Community Paediatric clinic sits within the department of Child and Family Health. The community paediatric clinics are located within existing community health centres, but also operate from place-based clinics to provide improved access for vulnerable patient cohorts.
