As part of Maritime, the Maritime Environmental Emergency Response (MEER) team leads preparedness, response and recovery for maritime incidents. Working in a dynamic, team-based environment, MEER strengthens the State's emergency capability and plays a critical role in protecting people, the environment and coastal assets around the state.
Opportunity
We are seeking a capable operator to lead and coordinate MEER activities across WA.
In this role, you will coordinate and provide field-based response operations during incidents, manage resources and information flow, support and monitor safe, effective on-ground delivery. You will also contribute to preparedness by maintaining operational readiness, supporting training and exercises, and assisting with the development of procedures and documentation. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help build capability and ensure a consistent, well-coordinated response to maritime incidents. Ability to respond to operational incidents at short notice around the state is required.
There is currently 1 permanent position available for immediate filling.
