Maintenance Electrician – Permanent day shift (6:00am –2:30pm, Monday‐to‐Friday).
About the Role
We operate a 24‐hour, 5‐day manufacturing environment, producing products enjoyed by millions of Australians every day. As part of our high‐performing Maintenance Team you will work a permanent day shift roster and have opportunities for additional overtime and maintenance support as required. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to apply their technical expertise across preventive maintenance, breakdown response, continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects. You will work closely with Production, Engineering and Site Leadership teams to maximise plant reliability, improve equipment performance and support operational excellence. Key Accountabilities
* Maximise plant reliability, equipment availability and production performance through effective preventative maintenance and timely breakdown response.
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control system faults across manufacturing and packaging equipment.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades and capital projects to enhance safety, quality, efficiency and operational performance.
* Maintain and improve PLC, HMI, instrumentation and electrical systems to ensure reliable and compliant site operations.
* Work collaboratively with Production, Quality, Engineering and Site Leadership teams to identify opportunities for improved equipment performance and reduced downtime.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with safety, food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
* Recognised Electrical trade qualification (Electrical Fitter/Mechanic), with experience in FMCG or a fast‐paced manufacturing environment.
* Demonstrated experience with PLC systems, ideally Allen‐Bradley/Rockwell including RSLogix500/5000 and FactoryTalk.
* Exposure to Variable Speed Drives (VSDs) and servo systems (desirable).
* Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
* Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (SAP & FiiX preferred).
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively.
* Solid understanding of workplace health, safety and environmental requirements.
* Ability to work at heights.
* Comfortable working both independently and within a small team environment.
