About the Role:
We're on the lookout for an additional passionate Social Worker to join our Brisbane team. The Social worker will cover the areas of Beenleigh and Logan Reserve. You'll work closely with our leadership team to develop and deliver top-notch clinical services for veteran (DVA) patients. You will be mentored by senior social workers Australia wide if required. We want social workers who genuinely care, love teamwork, and are excited about helping us grow our clinics and support our community. If you've got strong initiative, honesty, and a solid clinical approach, you'll fit right in
Your Responsibilities:
- Educate and support veterans, offering health coordination and information.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical history, current conditions, and treatment goals.
- Build strong relationships with patients.
- Drive community development initiatives to tackle social issues and promote social justice.
- Offer generalist counselling for emotional, behavioural, and mental health challenges.
- Assist veterans with necessary documentation for health services enrolment.
- Communicate effectively and provide top-notch service.
What You Need:
- A relevant Social Work degree.
- Current registration with AASW (Australian Association of Social Workers).
- A genuine interest in veterans' welfare.
- Ability to build and maintain rapport with patients and other health professionals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Competent in computer skills and ability to learn scheduling and diary systems.
- Passion for ongoing learning and progression.
- Driver's license.
