Our Plant in Tumut
The plant operates on a 24/7-day basis and requires flexibility to work additional hours as needed. The role involves ensuring disciplined focus on predictive and preventative maintenance of mechanical equipment. Additionally, it entails investigating failures using Root Cause Analysis techniques and designing corrective and preventive solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop proactive and preventative maintenance initiatives through implementation of engineering analysis of plant performance.
* Investigate failures using Root Cause Analysis techniques and design corrective and preventive solutions to eliminate the cause or reduce the likelihood of failure.
* Understand and adhere to all Visy management systems, policies, and procedures, and other regularity body requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of three years' experience.
* Experience in a 24/7 heavy manufacturing, materials handling, or processing environment.
* Strong analytical skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to work autonomously.
* Continuous improvement mindset, proactive problem-solving with a solution-focused approach.
* CMMS experience.
* A valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience working in a similar environment.
* Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
