How will your ideas contribute to shaping what's next?
As our new Electrical BIM Modeller, you'll be a key member of Aurecon's drafting and modelling team, helping to shape the design of infrastructure projects across Australia. You'll work closely with engineers, surveyors, and technical specialists to bring concepts to life using advanced 2D and 3D modelling tools.
This role supports our Adelaide team and will assist with specialised workload and sovereignty-based projects. It's ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-driven environment, enjoys mentoring others, and is passionate about digital innovation and technical excellence.
Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life':
* Plan and prepare design documentation prior to construction using various technologies
* Interpret and expand technical details using drawings, sketches, specifications, and calculations
* Apply intermediate to advanced 2D drafting (CAD) and 3D modelling (e.g. Revit) systems
* Produce outputs that feed into drawings and federated models
* Optimise technical design through collaboration with colleagues and clients
* Train and mentor less experienced drafters in technical and digital skills
* Apply quality and safety standards to complete designs
* Plan resources for small projects or components of larger projects
* Use cloud collaboration tools and Aurecon's digital platforms to manage project information

What we're looking for:
* Relevant experience, technical certificate, diploma, or degree
* Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools to produce coordinated electrical models
* Strong understanding of electrical systems and design documentation
* Ability to mentor and support junior drafters and modellers
* Familiarity with cloud collaboration platforms and digital workflows
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage scope, timelines, and quality
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Passion for innovation, safety, and continuous learning
