About the Support Worker Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate individuals to join our team as Casual NDIS Support Workers. In this rewarding role, you will provide a range of supports to people with disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal Care: Assisting with daily living tasks.
* Domestic Support: Assisting with household tasks such as cooking, tidying and laundry.
* Community Access: Supporting participants to engage in community activities, such as shopping, attending appointments.
* Daily Living Skills: Assisting participants to develop and maintain essential life skills, such as communication, social interaction, and independent living skills.
* Individualised Support: Providing tailored support to meet the unique needs and goals of each participant.
* Communication and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and timely records of support provided.
* Promoting Participant Wellbeing: Ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of participants at all times.
Essential Criteria:
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Qualification relevant to the role.
* First Aid and CPR certification
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong empathy and compassion
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexibility to work various shifts
* Reliability is a key factor
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (highly desirable)
* Police, WW Childrens Clearances
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience working with people with disabilities
* Experience with psychosocial and or autism challenges
* Understanding of NDIS principles and practices
