Urban Designer/Landscape Architect Role
We have a unique opportunity for an Urban Designer or Landscape Architect to join our busy and growing, Urban Design Team in Melbourne.
This role involves working on a range of projects and client opportunities across water, transport, and defence, collaborating with a large multi-disciplinary team, and contributing to creative solutions that yield award-winning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design Analysis and Expertise: Accurately provide design analysis as well as input, advice, and expertise on design studies associated with engineering and other projects.
* Sub-Consultant Management: Effectively manage sub-consultants preparing feasibility studies, context analysis, masterplan/open space strategies, precinct plan development, and landscape architecture.
* Design Strategies: Lead coordination of and/or input to and development of key design strategies, including Indigenous co-design, heritage interpretation, active transport strategies, and integrated art.
* Compliance and Governance: Accurately apply knowledge of local council and state government and federal strategies and guidelines as they relate to urban design approaches.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Urban Design or Landscape Architecture.
* Experience: Proven experience in providing design advice on major government projects.
* Skillset: In-depth understanding of sub-contractor management and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
