Job Description:
As a key member of our aquaculture team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and productivity of our prawn farm. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a hands-on approach to daily operations.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct daily monitoring of prawn activity, health, and water quality parameters.
* Perform water exchanges and manage pond inputs to maintain optimal growing conditions.
* Carry out pond remediation and preparation activities post-harvest and for new seasons.
* Operate farm vehicles to distribute materials and feed across the site.
* Proactively identify and report any issues with prawns, water quality, or infrastructure.
* Adhere to and champion all workplace health and safety procedures and environmental protocols.
Requirements:
* A strong understanding of aquaculture principles and practices.
* Experience in water quality management and pond maintenance.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
