The Opportunity
Monash University's Department of Parameditcne has proudly partnered with Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) since **** and presently holds a tender to deliver comprehensive first aid and emergency medical response (EMR) training. This position is for an enthusiastic Assistant Lecturer to support high-quality medical first response across Victoria.
In this role you will train firefighters, first responders and FRV recruits, delivering classroom-based programs, collaborating with fellow instructors and managing associated administrative tasks. The role offers a unique blend of teaching and research, enabling you to design flexible education programs and contribute to the department's broader strategic direction.
Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and assess classroom-based training for FRV recruits.
Collaborate with fellow instructors to enhance educational content.
Maintain up-to-date course documentation and support learning outcomes.
Engage with personnel at all levels of the fire service using strong interpersonal skills.
Contribute to research projects and evidence-based practice within the field.
Qualifications
Holder of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Paramedicine.
Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE) – OR willing to complete this qualification.
Current Australian work rights.
Experience in emergency medical training or a related field is highly desirable.
