Hybrid role
An insurance company based in South Sydney is currently seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
**Responsibilities**:
- Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve system issues
- Appropriately escalating internally and to IT vendors
- Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals
- Ensure that fixes are implemented to all systems and take steps to prevent the same problem occurring again
- Maintain and update knowledge about emerging technologies for Mac OS and Windows
- Support the build and maintenance of SOE across all environments
- Ensure that all endpoints comply with security policies
- Assist Support Staff members with IT-related requests (e.g., assisting trainers with IT training materials)
- Ability to travel to the Parramatta office once a week
Key Skills / Experience
- Strong technical skills with Microsoft Windows
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 environments, Exchange and Azure AD
- Experience managing user requests, issues and incidents via ticketing system
- Experience with MDM systems such as Intune, JAMF Casper or similar
Desired:
- Experience in migrating legacy technology to cloud-based
- Exposure to hybrid working environments (supporting customers face-to-face, over the phone, and via ticketing system)
