Role Purpose
IT Project Manager (Mortgages & Banking) is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects within the retail banking and mortgage servicing ecosystem. This role requires deep understanding of mortgage products, loan origination, underwriting workflows, regulatory compliance, and core banking systems. The IT PM will collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, architects, and engineering teams to drive end‐to‐end delivery while ensuring quality, timeline, and budget adherence.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with architecture, engineering, data, legal, compliance, and vendor teams.
* Support solution design reviews and impact assessments.
* Contribute to cutover planning, transition sequencing, and runbook creation.
* Support SIT/UAT with clear acceptance criteria and defect triage.
* Segregate data, documents, and data treatment rules for open vs closed mortgage accounts: open accounts are transferred to the new buyer; closed accounts remain serviced internally.
Qualifications
* 6–12+ years of IT project management experience in Banking & Financial Services.
* Strong experience with mortgage technology platforms: LOS (Loan Origination Systems), LMS (Loan Management/Servicing Systems), workflow, underwriting engines, credit decisioning tools.
* Familiarity with APIs, microservices, data migration, integration layers, cloud migration.
* Understanding of security, authentication, and fintech compliance.
* Proficient in Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies.
* Expertise with JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, DevOps tools.
* Strong documentation skills (BRD, FRD, project charter, release notes).
