Position Overview
This position is available on a fixed‐term and permanent full‐time basis (76 hours per fortnight). Fixed‐term appointments may be extended and/or lead to permanency. The role is for a Clinical Nurse to join the Community Health team in Geraldton, Midwest, Western Australia.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical services as part of core community health programs such as immunisation, school health and child health.
* Deliver quality primary health services to the community within the nurse's own level of competency to meet planned health outcomes.
* Participate in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to the development and evaluation of primary health programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Registered Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated knowledge and ability to implement health promotion principles into clinical practice.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate primary health programmes.
* Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Eligible for / or in possession of a current C or C‐A class driver's licence, or another specialised licence class.
* Postgraduate qualification in Child and Adolescent health is an advantage.
