Payroll Officer
This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service and reliable payroll solutions.
The Payroll Officer will be responsible for end-to-end functions for 275 staff, including processing multiple payroll cycles across fortnightly and monthly frequencies using ADP systems, providing customer-focused support and guidance to employees on payroll-related inquiries, partnering with HR to offer practical advice and assistance on payroll compliance, award interpretation, and onboarding, identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies with a solutions-oriented approach, ensuring accuracy in payroll transactions, reporting, and statutory obligations.
This involves managing complex payroll processes independently and efficiently, possessing a strong customer service ethos with a responsive and empathetic communication style, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to provide feedback on detailed payroll and superannuation enquiries, familiarity with ADP systems (preferred), understanding of payroll legislation, proven planning and prioritisation skills, willingness to learn and support broader HR initiatives, including systems, reporting and compliance, keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvement.
Cert IV or Diploma in Payroll, HR or Business Administration - highly regarded. Part-time options may be considered if operationally appropriate.
