Site-Based Project Engineer
Hays is currently partnering with various clients to fill site-based Project Engineer positions. Long-term employment and short-term assignments are available on 2:1 or 8:6 rosters.
This position plays a key role in the planning, coordination, and execution of civil construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
* Oversee and manage construction and earthworks packages from start to finish.
* Develop and review project plans, specifications, and construction methodologies.
* Coordinate with site supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation and progress reports.
* Assist in cost control, procurement, and scheduling activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
* 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on construction and/or earthworks.
* Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and QA/QC processes.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug/Alcohol screening.
* Full Australian working rights.
About You:
* You hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* You have at least 5 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on construction and/or earthworks.
* You possess a strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and QA/QC processes.
* You have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* You are able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* You can pass a pre-employment medical and Drug/Alcohol screening.
