Overview
East Waikiki Primary School (PS) is a permanent full-time teaching position commencing Term 3, 2026. Located in the coastal suburb of Cooloongup, approximately 45 km south of Perth, the school has grown since 1987 to approximately 385 students and operates within a stable, experienced staff community committed to high‐quality teaching and learning.
Staff work within a connected whole‐school approach that uses evidence‐based programs, explicit teaching practices, consistent lesson design, and regular assessment to monitor student progress. The school implements high‐impact literacy and numeracy programs, including structured synthetic phonics, DIBELS assessment, Talk for Writing, Letters and Sounds, and evidence‐based numeracy practices. Data are used regularly to inform planning, identify student needs, and provide targeted intervention and extension.
Professional learning, coaching, and collaborative planning are highly valued. Staff engage in ongoing development to strengthen student outcomes and build a culture of reflective practice, high expectations, and continuous improvement. At East Waikiki PS, we believe in educating the whole child and support students academically, socially, and emotionally while modelling the school values of Care, Respect, and Trust.
