Purpose Therapy Services – Margaret River WA
Occupational Therapist – Community / NDIS
Purpose Therapy is a small, values‐driven occupational therapy practice supporting children, teens and adults living with disability across the South West.
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who enjoys meaningful client relationships, practical problem solving, and the autonomy that comes with community‐based work.
This role is best suited to someone looking for a consistent 3–5 day per week position, who enjoys working independently, takes initiative, and is comfortable making clinical decisions with support available when needed.
About You
* Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
* Experience in community disability, NDIS, or private practice is preferred, though early career OTs are welcome to apply
* Experience in paediatrics, mental health, functional assessments, or medicolegal work will be well regarded
* You're a confident communicator who builds trust easily with clients, families, support teams, and other professionals
* You're organised, self‐motivated, and able to manage your time, reporting, and admin effectively
* You're comfortable working independently, problem solving, and backing your clinical judgement, while knowing when to seek support
* Comfortable with community travel and a varied caseload across ages, diagnoses, and settings
The Role
You'll support NDIS participants to work towards meaningful goals through assessment, intervention, review, and reporting.
Our work is varied – different ages, presentations, locations, and goals – so flexibility, initiative, and good clinical reasoning are important.
This may include:
* Functional assessments and therapy intervention
* Home, school, community, and occasional regional visits
* Working closely with families, support workers, schools, support coordinators, and allied health teams
* Writing reports, recommendations, and progress documentation
* Managing your own diary and workload with a high degree of autonomy
What We Offer
* Close support and supervision in your first 2 months while you learn the role, systems, and your caseload
* A flexible work‐from‐home model with the support of a small team
* Genuine autonomy over how you manage your schedule and caseload
* Travel allowance for regional visits
* Quarterly bonus opportunities
* A genuinely varied caseload with room to grow your clinical interests
This role will suit an OT who enjoys autonomy, values flexibility, and wants to do meaningful community-based work while being part of a supportive team.
