Location: Townsville Catholic Education Office, Townsville City.
Salary Range: $89,525 - $102,735 per annum + Super (pending experience)
Townsville Catholic Education is seeking an Accountant to join our Financial Services team based in Townsville. Reporting to the Team Leader, Group Accounting, you'll play an important role in supporting the financial operations of one of North Queensland's largest education providers, helping ensure the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of financial processes across our office and school network.
Responsibilities
In this varied role, you'll contribute to a range of accounting functions including:
* General ledger maintenance
* Reconciliations
* Asset accounting and financial reporting
* System administration and capital procurement activities
* Compliance obligations
* Supporting system improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborating with finance colleagues and stakeholders across our schools to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial processes and enable informed decision-making
Qualifications / Experience
* Experience in a broad finance or accounting role with a detail-oriented, hands-on approach
* Confidence working with financial systems, data and reporting; ability to identify issues and investigate solutions
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a collaborative approach
* Experience with TechnologyOne or a similar financial management system highly regarded
