Growing construction head contractor with a strong track record. Our client is a construction head contractor looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team to work on a $200m+ high‑rise residential project.
Ideally experience on $200m+ High Rise Residential projects, 20+ floors.
Responsibilities
* Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors
* Complete daily site diary entries
* Review and manage key project issues
* Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made
* Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
* Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants
* Assist Project Manager with preparing scopes of work
* Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes
* Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works
Qualifications and Requirements
* Trade or building related qualification
* 5 to 15+ years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors
* Construction Safety Induction (White) card
* Senior First Aid Certificate
* Desirable – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
* Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites
* Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
