Senior Medical Officer – Clinical Lead (WBA) – Temporary Part‑Time (40 hrs p.f.)
Responsibilities
The purpose of the WBA Clinical Lead is to provide overall clinical expert advice and management of the MHHS WBA program.
Lead the Medical Education Unit in delivering accredited educational programmes, supervise and monitor clinical performance, and mentor pre‑vocational medical practitioners and international medical graduates.
Collaborate closely with James Cook University and the Director of Clinical Training to coordinate integrated medical training pathways.
Team and Environment
The Medical Education Unit (MEU) works with vocational training pathways and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive training from undergraduate to postgraduate levels.
Mackay Hospital and Health Service operates across 6 hospitals, 2 multi‑purpose health services, and 4 community health centres, employing more than 3,700 staff across an approximate 90,000 km² district.
