Role
The Clinical Nurse provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities.
About the Team
Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service is located in the Whitsunday Regional Shire in the town of Collinsville, approximately 86 km southwest of Bowen.
The service includes eight acute care beds, seven aged care beds, 24‐hr emergency care, outpatient care, and visiting allied health services including pharmacy, radiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, mental health and AODS, child health, social work, nurse navigator and diversional therapist.
Staffing is maintained at a minimum safe staffing level with a registered nurse and enrolled nurse on all shifts, an assistant in nursing on morning and afternoon shifts, and a NUM/DON as required. A clinical nurse educator visits fortnightly and RN's from TEMSU and RSQ provide advice.
