The Opportunity: Project Manager
We are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to take the lead on a variety of key, high-value projects within the organisation. This is a crucial leadership role where you will have full accountability for project success, team development, and financial performance.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* End-to-End Project Delivery: Managing multiple concurrent projects from pre-construction, tendering, and contract negotiation through to final handover and defect liability.
* Team Leadership & Mentoring: Directing the project team's performance, focusing on mentoring, career development, and skill-building to maximise output.
* Contract Management: Ensuring strict adherence to Head and Subcontract requirements, standards, specifications, and EHSQ responsibilities.
* Financial & Planning Oversight: Owning the financial responsibilities of the projects, including cost control, detailed programming, and overall budget management.
* Procurement & Tendering: Leading tender interviews, subcontractor negotiations, and contract letting.
Your Success Profile
To thrive in this critical role, you will be a proven construction professional with:
* Experience: Demonstrated success working as a Project Manager for a principal contractor. Experience in fit-out and refurbishment projects is highly desirable.
* Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management or a similar field.
* Leadership: A natural leader and motivator who genuinely invests in their team, cultivating high performance and a supportive culture.
* Expertise: A strong, comprehensive understanding of project management systems, processes, and delivery protocols within the construction industry.
