What you'll be doing
* Coordinate and implement the district's efforts related to climate adaptation and climate risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Manage the district's mandatory annual climate‐related financial disclosures reporting and climate risk management frameworks.
* Lead the implementation of adaptation research and solutions to strengthen NSLHD's resilience to climate change and reduce the impact of future climate‐related events.
* Work within the Planetary Health team and report to the Manager of Planetary Health, NSLHD.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, climate or disaster risk management, or public health and/or demonstrated experience leading climate adaptation risk and resilience planning within a complex organisation.
* Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgment, initiative and problem‐solving skills in a professional manner to organise a high‐level workload with competing priorities to meet deadlines.
* Experience working with senior executives, clinicians and researchers to deliver change and a commitment to establishing and maintaining effective and collaborative working relationships for stakeholder engagement.
