About the Production Team
The Production team is responsible for manufacturing highly purified compounds within specialised cleanroom environments, following strict regulatory standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The team of 5–6 young, dedicated and enthusiastic members work closely together to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical products to customers worldwide.
Our manufacturing facilities include:
- Three cleanroom manufacturing suites
- Solvent and materials storage areas
- Equipment wash bay
- Maintenance workshop
- Storage and warehousing areas
- Utility equipment – air compressors, cooling water, boilers, vacuum pumps, purified water equipment
The team ensures these facilities and all associated equipment are maintained, clean, and fully operational to support efficient and compliant manufacturing operations.
About the Role — Facility & Equipment Cleaning and Maintenance Operator
As a Facility and Equipment Cleaning & Maintenance Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, functionality, and readiness of our production facilities and equipment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and maintaining specific production equipment, cleanrooms, and storage areas
- Performing basic equipment checks, maintenance, and calibration support
- Assisting production operators to prepare and maintain clean and compliant work areas
- Following detailed SOPs and regulatory guidelines
- Recording all activities accurately in maintenance and cleaning logbooks
You will also have opportunities to contribute directly to manufacturing operations within cleanroom environments, supporting the team in preparing and operating specialised processing equipment.

Responsibilities
1. Ensure day to day cleanliness and efficient functioning of the following production areas of the company:
- General factory/warehouse/goods receivables areas
- Maintenance and machinery area
- Wash bay and Equipment storage area
- GMP storage areas.
- The main focus of the position is to ensure effective scheduling and cleaning of a wide range of mechanical equipment that is used in GMP manufacturing activities. This mobile equipment is utilised in manufacturing suites and moved to the cleaning wash bay area for cleaning.
- Cleaning of equipment in strict accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and instructions. Make equipment available to Quality Control personnel for sampling to ensure cleanliness and removal of contaminants.
- Storage and inventory management of equipment in strict adherence with SOPs.
- Maintenance of utilities and equipment in strict adherence to SOPs and instructions, in accordance to maintenance schedule.
- Weekly cleaning of factory area using motorised vacuum and scrubber equipment. Cleaning of facility walls and general areas.
- Documentation of all activities in logbooks and maintain correct record keeping.
- Assist with company GMP manufacturing activities where required with production operators and staff.
- Work within a young, close 6 person production team to ensure communication, efficient operations and flexibility are key. Ensure you play a role to maintain team harmony ensure good culture within the production team.
- Outgoing and enthusiastic attitude is an absolute must. Ability to adapt, absorb new approaches/ideas and open‑mindedness to being flexible will suit this role.
- Keenness to work as part of a small technical team as well as with other departments (Quality Control and Research & Development).
- No prior experience necessary, all instructions and operations will be provided and directions clearly documented in SOPs that are to be followed.
- Ability to follow SOPs strictly as directed and ensure effectiveness of work is adhered to minimum standards.
- Completion of equipment logbooks, cleaning schedules and ensure up‑to‑date record keeping is maintained.
- Attention to detail and those that like structure in the workplace will be well suited to this role.

- Working within a team of 5-6 enthusiastic Manufacturing Operators
- Share new ideas and approaches that will improve efficiency and ease of operation. Share requirements for new equipment to assist in daily tasks if required.
- Interact with other department personnel (Quality Control, R&D; etc)
- Report to Production Manager and provide feedback/ideas on job functions to improve manufacturing process efficiency and management of the factory areas.
Qualifications
School certificate or relevant trade.
No other experience necessary.
Experience Required
- Minimum 2 years experience working within manufacturing or warehouse functions.
- Hands on mechanical knowledge for operations within a manufacturing facility.
- Mechanical experience and aptitude – ability to learn.
- Forklift license and experience preferred. License and training will be provided if necessary.
- Experience in operations following strict SOP guidance or instructions.
- Experience in learning and improving job functions, facilitating change and implementing continuous improvement programmes.
- Experience in working within well‑organised and cleanliness‑focused environments.
