Food & Beverage Attendant

Reporting: Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Supervisor, Food and Beverage Team Leader.

Key Relationships: Owners and Guests, Food and Beverage personnel, Finance and Stores team members.

Primary Objectives

At Travel + Leisure, the goal is to put the world on vacation. As a Food & Beverage Attendant you will be responsible for order taking, serving of food and beverages while providing an exceptional guest experience.

Principal Responsibilities

* Provide effective, efficient, and professional Food and Beverage service.
* Ensure smooth running of Food and Beverage service, collaborating with teammates to prepare and serve.
* Maintain equipment, report faults, and ensure cleanliness.
* Review operating systems for optimal efficiencies.
* Maintain stock levels daily, including ordering and rotating.
* Report discrepancies to manager.
* Ensure necessary food prep and items are available each day.
* Follow Food Safety guidelines, correct temperatures, and label prep dates.
* Deliver highest level of customer service to meet owners' and guests' needs.
* Communicate necessary points clearly and concisely.
* Liaise with supervisor/manager on problems or complaints.
* Be punctual and maintain professional grooming, uniform, name badge, and hygiene.
* Comply with Travel + Leisure's OH&S Policy and procedures.
* Display innovation by improving processes and products.
* Show integrity in all aspects.

Finance and POS Responsibilities

* Proficient with POS system and internal accounting procedures.
* Assist in maximizing food and beverage sales.
* Upsell to achieve higher sales.
* Review and enter orders accurately in POS.
* Conduct cash balances as required.
* Ensure customer accounts are balanced before departure.
* Ensure POS entries are signed, charged correctly.
* Manage assigned float during shifts.
* Follow correct cash procedures.

General Duties

* Maintain operating equipment properly.
* Adhere to Fire, Food Safety, and Hygiene policies.
* Maintain operational manuals and handbooks.
* Secure passwords and ensure confidentiality.
* Be conversant with all facilities and services.
* Attend meetings, briefings, and training as required.
* Record times accurately.
* Respond to departmental changes.
* Plan and conduct training sessions (minimum 4 per month).
* Other duties as assigned.

Key Position Criteria

* Previous experience in a similar position.
* Knowledge of OH&S and chemical handling.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, public and school holidays.
