Due to continued growth and increased workshop demand, we are seeking experienced Trailer Mechanics, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, and Service Technicians to join a busy workshop team responsible for maintaining and servicing a large fleet of road transport equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work with a company that specialises in trailer manufacturing, servicing, repairs, axle systems, suspension components, and heavy transport equipment. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and repair heavy vehicle trailers Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults Rebuild and replace suspension systems, trailer axles, wheel bearings, and brake components Service air brake and trailer braking systems Perform trailer inspections and preventative maintenance Read and interpret workshop drawings and specifications Complete workshop documentation and service records Assist with fabrication and repair work where required Ensure all work is completed safely and to industry standards Skills & Experience To be successful, you should possess: Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle, Diesel or Trailer Mechanic Experience working on truck trailers, semi-trailers, tanker trailers, road transport equipment, or heavy vehicle fleets Strong knowledge of air brake systems and suspension components Ability to identify faults and complete repairs efficiently Experience using workshop diagnostic equipment Ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong commitment to workplace safety Essential Requirements Mechanical trade qualification Full Australian working rights Current driver's licence Own tools Ability to provide two recent work references Available for overtime when required Desirable Forklift Licence Heavy Vehicle Licence Experience working with trailer manufacturers or transport workshops What's On Offer $62.50 per hour Superannuation Overtime available $30.00 daily travel allowance Secure ongoing work Temp-to-permanent opportunity Modern workshop environment Immediate start available Work with industry-leading trailer and axle equipment Supportive management team TRS Resourcing is committed to building a diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and candidates from all backgrounds.
