Role Overview
We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer / Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical team in any of our Australian offices, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth.
In this role, you will deliver high quality geotechnical consulting services to mining clients across a range of projects. You will undertake technical analysis, design and reporting while working with agreed project scopes, budgets and timelines.

Salary
The salary package offered for this position will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
Skills And Competencies
Core Functions
* Deliver Geotechnical consulting services to mining clients
* Conduct technical analysis, modelling and design
* Prepare high-quality reports and manage project budgets and timelines
* Support site investigations and technical reviews
* Maintain client relationships and assist with proposals
* Generate work and manage client portfolios
* Support project management activities and uphold AMC's values and standards
* Mentor junior staff and collaborate across teams
Competencies
* Proven consulting experience with solid analytics, integrative, and problem-solving skills
* Strong written and verbal communication, including high-quality report writing
* Practical and consulting experience in a range of mining methods
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
* Ability to work independently, take initiative, and support team development
* Open to new ideas, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement
* Proficient in relevant mining software and general computer applications
Qualifications And Experience
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in geomechanics or related discipline
* Minimum 2-10 years' experience in underground or open pit mining with a strong technical and practical focus
* Demonstrated capacity to work independently, coupled with strong problem‐solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
* Commitment to high ethical standards and professionalism, with values aligned to those of AMC.
* Registered as a Professional Engineer (or equivalent), with focus on a geomechanical discipline
