Responsibilitiesâ¯Â
- Mature approach to both graphical and structural design & development with consideration to requirements across multiple stakeholder groups
- Ability to operate with an elevated level of autonomy whilst interacting effectively with, and seeking input from, team members and other business groups to ensure the packaging being developed is appropriate and satisfies all necessary requirements
- Self-management of tasks or as directed by the Manager & Project Leads
- Research, design, and production-implementation of new product packaging
- Bring the latest insight on Industry Trends & Developments with strong focus on Sustainable Packaging solutions
- Help with testing, verification and validation of designed packaging to ensure it meets the necessary requirements and specifications under anticipated usage scenarios and operating conditions
- Collaborate & liaise with internal customers and suppliers in relation to design issues
- Work within the ResMed Quality system & standards
- Work within regulatory requirements such as the FDAâ¯Â

To excel as a Packaging Design intern, you will need to be a strong visual and verbal communicator with a creative approach to problem solving, able to articulate your ability to understand complex requirements.â¯Â
To get us really excited you will have the above attributes and the following qualifications and experience:Â Â
- Is a strong graphic designer, able to demonstrate proficiency in Adobe products and other Visual communication tools
- Demonstrate strong understanding of print processes
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of new product or packaging development and how this might impact the manufacturing environmentÂ
- Demonstrate knowledge of process & materials for different types of packaging solutions
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA)Â
- Working within a strict quality system and regulatory setting
- Proficiency in 3D CAD system
- Degree or Tertiary Qualification in Packaging Engineering or Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Demonstrated capability in packaging design & engineering
- Experience in Corrugated Cardboard & Paper design is beneficial
- Experience in global freight & logistics design â is beneficial
